Scope and purpose

This Privacy Policy explains how Lazeriq Motion collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information when a person visits our website, submits a project inquiry, communicates with us, or engages our video editing and post-production services. Our services are limited to work performed on media and related project materials supplied or authorized by the client.

This Policy applies to information processed through this website and during ordinary project administration. It does not replace contractual terms that may apply to a specific engagement, and it does not govern a third-party website, storage provider, payment service, or other platform that maintains its own privacy policy.

02

Information we may collect

We may collect identifiers and contact details such as a name, business name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and project role. We may also collect project information, including the requested editing service, footage volume, camera count, intended output, preferred schedule, technical requirements, creative notes, brand assets, review comments, and delivery instructions.

When a project is accepted, we may process account, transaction, invoice, and payment status information. Payment card numbers are generally handled by the applicable payment provider rather than stored directly by us. Website systems may also record device type, browser type, approximate location derived from an IP address, page activity, referring page, timestamps, and cookie or similar technology identifiers.

Client-provided video, audio, images, captions, names, and other project materials may contain personal information about people appearing or speaking in the source media. The client is responsible for having authority to provide that material and for giving any notices or obtaining any permissions required for the intended use.

03

How information is collected

Information may be collected directly from a person through an inquiry, questionnaire, project brief, review note, invoice exchange, or other communication. We may also receive information from an authorized colleague, producer, agency, or business representative acting for the client.

Technical information may be collected automatically when the website is visited. Depending on the site configuration, this may occur through essential cookies, server logs, analytics tools, fraud-prevention systems, or comparable technologies. More detail is provided in our Cookie Policy.

04

How information is used

We use information to evaluate whether a requested project fits our services; prepare a scope, estimate, or schedule; communicate about the project; organize and edit client-provided media; conduct review rounds; prepare agreed exports; maintain project and billing records; protect systems and accounts; identify technical issues; comply with legal obligations; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

We may use limited contact information to follow up on an inquiry or provide operational information connected to an existing project. Promotional communication, if used, will be handled in accordance with applicable law and available opt-out choices. We do not sell personal information for monetary payment.

05

Legal bases for processing

Where a legal basis is required, processing may be necessary to take steps requested before entering a contract, perform a contract, comply with a legal obligation, or pursue legitimate interests such as operating the studio, maintaining security, preventing misuse, keeping accurate records, and communicating with business contacts. In limited circumstances, processing may rely on consent. A person may withdraw consent for future processing where consent is the applicable basis, without affecting processing already completed.

06

Service providers and disclosure

Information may be provided to vendors that support hosting, secure file transfer, cloud storage, communications, invoicing, payment processing, analytics, cybersecurity, accounting, or professional advice. These providers receive information only as reasonably necessary for the service they perform and are expected to protect it under applicable contractual or legal duties.

Information may also be disclosed when required by law, court order, subpoena, or valid governmental request; when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, systems, or property; in connection with a business reorganization or transfer; or with the direction or authorization of the relevant client. Project media is not licensed, broadcast, distributed, or used for unrelated purposes by Lazeriq Motion unless separately authorized in writing.

07

Retention and deletion

We retain information for only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including project performance, review, delivery, warranty or correction periods, recordkeeping, tax and accounting obligations, dispute management, and system security. Retention periods vary according to information type, project terms, backup schedules, and legal requirements.

Source media and project files may be removed after the agreed delivery and retention period. Clients should maintain their own complete copies of original media and final deliverables. Backup copies may remain for a limited period until normal backup rotation is complete.

08

Information security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and the scale of our operations. Measures may include access controls, account authentication, device protections, secure transfer methods, software updates, backups, and restricted project access. No internet transmission, storage system, or security process can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should not send unnecessary sensitive information through a general website form.

09

Your choices and requests

Depending on applicable law, a person may request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of certain processing. A person may also object to particular processing or withdraw consent where consent applies. We may need to verify identity and authority before acting on a request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

Browser controls can limit or remove cookies, although disabling essential storage may affect website functions. Communications about an active inquiry, contract, invoice, security issue, or legal notice are operational rather than promotional and may continue when necessary.

10

United States state privacy notices

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights regarding categories of personal information collected, purposes of use, categories of recipients, correction, deletion, access, portability, and appeals. We do not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right. Where required, an authorized agent may submit a request subject to verification of the agent’s authority and the resident’s identity.

Lazeriq Motion does not knowingly sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined by applicable state privacy laws. If our practices materially change, this Policy and any required preference mechanism will be updated.

11

Children’s privacy

The website and services are intended for business clients and adults. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child through the website. If a client’s authorized footage includes a minor, the client remains responsible for the permissions and notices required for the intended project.

12

International access and transfers

Our operations are based in the United States. If information is provided from another jurisdiction, it may be processed in the United States or another location used by a service provider. Privacy laws in those locations may differ. Where applicable, reasonable transfer safeguards will be used.

13

Updates and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in legal requirements, website functions, vendors, or business practices. The “Last updated” date identifies the current version. Material changes may be communicated through the website or by another appropriate method.

Privacy requests should clearly describe the request and the person or project concerned. We may ask for reasonable verification before disclosing or changing information.
